 HF CONTEST

 

Radio-club "NOVI BEOGRAD" is organizing QSO contest on 80 m under sponsorship of New Belgrade municipality.

 

Date: 02.04.2006 (sunday)

 

Time: 1600 - 1900 UTC

 

Participation: All licenced Ham stations

 

Categories:

a) V - power over 150W

b) M - power up to 150W

c) Q - power up to 5W

d) NON-YU (stations outside of Serbia & Montenegro)

 

Mode: A1A (CW) & J3E (SSB)

 

Band: 80m (3,5MHz); SSB 3650-3775 kHz, CW 3510-3580

 

Periods:

Competition is divided in 3 periods

I period: only SSB (1600-1659 UTC)

II period: only CW (1700-1759 UTC)

III period: only SSB (1800-1859 UTC)

 

QSO data: Call sign,RST,multiplier and category indicator (e.g. 599 11 V, 59 21 M,599 81 Q)

Participants from outside of Serbia & Montenegro (non-yu stations) instead of multiplier are giving 90 & category indicator (e.g. 599 90 V, 59 90 M, 599 90 Q etc.)

 

QSO Points:

 - Valid SSB QSO = 1 point

 - Valid CW QSO = 2 points

 

General rules:

Participant can be worked only once per period and potentially double entries must be checked in log.

Valid QSO will be the one which call sign exists at least in 5 logs.

Incorrect QSOs will not count for total score.

Incorrect QSO will also be the one, which logged working time is difeferent for more then 4 minutes then in worked station log.

All arrived log-s will be checked using software.

 

Multipliers:

Multipliers are the first 2 numbers of exchange (in Serbia & Montenegro that are the first 2 numbers of ZIP code-postal zones).

Multiplier is counted only once in whole contest. For example: If multiplier "11" is worked in I period, in II and III period the same multiplier will not be counted as new multiplier.

Maximum number of multipliers is 24 listed below of this rules.

 

Logs:

Log must contain: Time (UTC), worked station call, sent exchange, received exchange, new multiplier and QSO points.

Each period in log must be separated and each multiplier must clearly be checked (unless the log is in electronic format-file).

 

Summary sheet must contain:

Contest name, contest date, own call sign, Competitors name and surname or club name, adress, own multiplier, points calculation, total score, rig description (type, power) and antenna, statement of following this rules and signature.

 

Points calculation:

[I period points sum) + (II period points sum) + (III period point sum)] x (number of diferent multipliers) = total score

 

Clasification:

Classification will be done due to gain points for each category separatly. If 2 or more participants will have the same number of points adventage will have participant with less incorrect QSOs, then with larger number of multipliers and then with larger number of correct QSOs.

 

Awards and diplomas:

Awarded will be participant for the first place in V, M, Q as far as, in each category arrive more then 5 logs.

Diplomas will assigned to all participants up to 10th place in each category.

Diplomas will assigned also:

 - The best placed participant – oldtimer (participant with 60 and more years old), it's good in summery sheet to specify birth year.

 - The best placed participant - YL.

The general rule for winning award or diploma is to gain minimum of 100 points.

Desirably is to send logs in electronical form strictly in TXT format, recomended "cabrillo" format.

For CT-K1EA & N1MM users we recomend to use IARU HF (contest type). In that case it's necessary to put multiplier and category like "Zone" (e.g. 90V); selecting different band for each period.

Competition logs is possible and recomended to send via e-mail on <log@yu1fjk.org>.

Log and summary sheet must be in TXT format only.

E-mail subject must be call sign and category (e.g. OK3AAA M)

 

Last log submmision day is 17.04.2006.

On each arrived log will be sent confirmation in next 24h.

On http://www.yu1fjk.org wil be placed listing of arrived logs and claimed scores.

 

Contest results will be published no later than 05.05.2006 on http://www.yu1fjk.org, and deadline for assigning awards will be additionally published.

For non-yu participants diplomas will be sent via postal so please check your correct address in summary sheet.

 

For contest rules interpretation and making decisions, authorized is contest jury YT1WA, YT1HA and YU1RA.
